Cookie Policy

Last updated: February 2026

This policy explains how Abbeydale Road Beer Festival ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, including when you place a merch order.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage to remember your preferences and to keep the site working.

How we use cookies

  • Strictly necessary. Required to run the site, keep you signed in to the admin area, remember your cookie choice and process merch orders securely through our payment provider (Stripe). These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics. First-party analytics that help us understand how the site is used (page views, popular venues, device type). No advertising profiles are built and we do not sell data. These are only set when you accept.
  • Preferences. Remember small choices such as your vote in the North vs South poll so you can only vote once.

Merch orders and personal data

When you buy a t-shirt we collect the details needed to fulfil your order (name, email, size, collection day). Payment is handled by Stripe and card details never touch our servers. We keep order records so we can hand over your merch at Festival HQ and contact you if there is a problem. See our contact details below to request deletion of your order data after the festival.

Third parties

  • Stripe – secure card payments for merch orders.
  • Our hosting and backend provider – site delivery and database.

Managing your choice

You can change your mind at any time. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. You can also reset your choice on this site:
